Viticulture
We are a family run organic vineyard and farm in Timboon, Southwest Victoria. This is a cool climate site situated along an escarpment of clay and limestone with maritime influence. We are currently establishing a dense planting of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cab Franc and are certified organic with influence from biodynamic and permaculture philosophies.
Grape varieties sourced from beyond, come from the accountable hands of Victorian growers who are committed to at least sustainable farming or certified organic and/or biodynamic.
Vinification
Fruit is handpicked and fermented wild. Manually basket pressed and gravity fed into bottle. Unfined. Unfiltered and without the use of additives or preservatives. An ode to the Matriarchs (The Babches) in our families who made wine this way, by hand and unadulterated.
Our wines do not aim to meet a style, rather to express the nuances of a variety and the site it is grown on. We hope you enjoy.
